The Masai plains of northern Tanzania
The Ecoscience property is located on the north-eastern border of the Tarangire National Park, 20 km south of the village of Makuyuni (itself on the main tourist route through the Serengeti National Park).
The local village is called Mswakini Juu. The 80-hectare property borders an important migration route for elephants, zebras and other animals. The area is known locally as the ‘Little Plain of the Serengeti’. Most of the land is natural. At the northern end of the Serengeti, we have built our luxury boutique lodge and science centre.
The architecture of the luxury rooms and restaurant is based on the Masai hut, in an original, modern and minimalist version.
There are just 6 large rooms, each measuring 60 m², with a 30 m² terrace. Each room has a double bed, sofa, wardrobe, desk and en suite bathroom. From each bed there is a spectacular view of the Radilen hill across the valley. Internet access is available.
