Gary and Jonathan set up their incoming agency in Arusha in 2010 so that they could show visitors Tanzania in a more original way, off the beaten track. Today, they live both in France and in Tanzania to ensure that travellers are welcomed and managed in the best possible way, but also to make it easier to meet them before the trip.
They have surrounded themselves with a local team capable of creating tailor-made trips, honeymoons, luxury safaris, bivouac safaris, trekking (Kilimanjaro ascent), as well as beach holidays in Zanzibar.
Sensitive to the poverty and needs of the local population, Off Road has set up sustainable initiatives to help them.
Financing the renovation of buildings and supplying washing machines for an orphanage, sponsoring the Arusha youth football club, organising a safari to help young people discover the beauty and natural riches of their country… all these actions are designed to improve the daily lives of young Tanzanians.
Thanks to its experience and the positive feedback from travellers, Off Road has expanded in Tanzania and now owns its own 4X4 vehicles as well as 5 lodges, two of which follow the great migration.
As a result, it employs more than 100 locals: guides, receptionists, cooks, gardeners, chambermaids, etc

Gary and Jonathan are two brothers from Savoie who have been fascinated by African culture and wildlife since they were children. They spent many months in Tanzania exploring every corner and sharing their discoveries. One day, they set down their suitcases in Arusha and embarked on a brand new adventure: Off Road Voyages.
Today, Off Road is over 10 years old. New incoming agencies have been set up in Kenya and Zambia, two other countries that the brothers are particularly fond of.
For your safari in Tanzania, Off Road provides you with a Land Cruiser type 4×4 vehicle with 2 to 7 seats. All our vehicles are very comfortable and undergo a thorough technical inspection to ensure that they are in good working order during your accompanied tours. They are checked every morning by your driver/guide and inspected by our garage at the end of each safari.
Equipped with a VHF/BLU radio, your driver stays in touch with the other vehicles on our tours and with our base in Karatu. The sunroof allows you to get a closer look at the wilderness. Seats are individual.
